Snack Sack Project

Supply List: Each bag should cost about 76 cents to make. One of each of the following items will be needed for each sack.
• Zipper lock sandwich size baggie
• Individual Pudding or Fruit Cup
• Cracker Pack or Sunflower Seeds
• Granola Bar
• .28 oz Meat Stick (individually wrapped) or 2 oz Peanuts
Optional (These items can be added if desired):
• Raisins (single serving size)
• 100% Vitamin C Fruit Snack
• Meat sticks (i.e. Slim Jim’s) can be found at Sam’s Club in 100 count packs. These can also be substituted with peanuts in a 2 oz bag or smaller.
• Mailing labels, optional: If choosing to print the snack sack labels, Avery 1" x 2 5/8" mailing labels work well. Click here for the file for the snack sack labels. After printing them, they can be placed on the baggies. Remember, this step is optional.
• If doing this project with young children, have a parent re-count the items to make sure each baggie is full.
KFB serves over 2,300 kids each weekday. You can make all of these snack sacks, or you can choose to make a smaller number.
