DESCRIPTION:Come celebrate with us!\nAdd a touch of love to our Sack Suppers this October. Sack Suppers are a nutritious, ready-to-eat meal delivered right to a child’s school or a distribution site, ensuring children have access to the healthy food they need to thrive. While the school experience has been disrupted for children in our community, Kids’ Food Basket has partnered with many local organizations to ensure that nutrition experiences are not disrupted.\nWe are honored to partner with TCF Bank for this year’s Brown Bag Decorating Day. For every bag decorated, TCF Bank will give us 10 cents up to $10,000. We need 100,000 decorated bags!\nJoin us on Brown Bag Decorating Day for a drive through party, Friday, October 23, from 9 A.M. to 4 P.M. at any of our three Kids’ Food Basket locations. Drop off your decorated bags and celebrate with us all from inside your vehicle. Please visit: www.kidsfoodbasket.org/BrownBagDecoratingDay to learn more about this fun-filled day!\nIf you can’t make it on Friday, October 23, please feel free to drop decorated bags off at any Kids’ Food Basket location on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., or any TCF Bank branch location during regular business hours, between October 1 and October 23. Mailing decorated bags is also highly encouraged for socially distant participation.\nGet Creative!\nTap into your inner artist using markers, pens, pencils, or crayons to decorate. If you need some inspiration, check out the amazing Sack Suppers below decorated by others in our community!\nWhat you will need\nBrown or white 6 or 8 lb. or size extra-large paper sacks work best (can be purchased at Sam’s Club and GFS Stores in bulk). Please keep in mind that many Sack Suppers will be going to public schools and therefore cannot contain religious messages. Also, please refrain from using paint, glitter, feathers, or stickers, as they can come off in the food.\n \n \n\n
