Parking

Where do I park when arriving to my volunteer shift?
  • Kent County We have ample parking for volunteers. Please avoid parking in front of any entrance doors or garage door spaces. All volunteers must enter through the front door entrance and check in at the start of every volunteer shift.
  • Kent County Farm – Parking is available near our red barn. You will register for your farm shift at the barn.
  • Muskegon County – Kids’ Food Basket’s Muskegon office is located at a shared space with Aldea Coffee. Please be mindful of other vehicles present at the building and do not block any entrance doors.
  • Ottawa + Allegan  – We have ample parking for volunteers. Please avoid parking in front of any entrance doors or garage door spaces. All volunteers must enter through the front door entrance off of Hastings Avenue.
  • Ottawa + Allegan Farm at Ridge Point Church – We have ample parking for volunteers. Parking is available near our red barn. You will register for your farm shift at the barn.
Where do buses or larger transportation vehicles park?
  • Kent CountyPlease have the bus driver park across the parking spots in the most south and east side of the parking lot (closest spots to the retention pond and barn/greenhouse).
Note that this will take up numerous traditional parking spaces and that is okay. If the bus driver will be waiting in the bus for students to be done, there are two feasible parking spots options:
    • Anywhere along the entrance drive coming in where there is split rail fence, with partial parking on the grass between the roadway and the fencing.
    • In the turnaround portion of the drive at the end of the roadway on Plymouth (coming in from Leonard) – this is farthest away but likely easiest to navigate after dropping students off at front door.
