I didn’t know anyone when I first started volunteering three years ago, but I quickly found fellow retired teachers who were also volunteering. I love working side by side with them and the conversations we have about our former careers, family, friends and travel. The facilitators are amazing. They are so pleasant, friendly and fun to work with. The staff are also awesome. They are so welcoming and make it a point to call me by name.

I love the fact that everyone is welcome to volunteer here. I observed young, middle-aged and older people working side by side. I saw happy people of every age work with joyful purpose. It was such a pleasure to be a part of all of this.
