Add a touch of love to our Sack Suppers this September! Sack Suppers are a nutritious, ready-to-eat meal delivered right to a child’s school or distribution site, ensuring children have access to the healthy food they need to thrive.
What you’ll need:
- Brown or white 6 or 8 lb. or size extra-large paper sacks work best.Â
- Crayons or markers.Â
- Refrain from using paint, glitter, feathers or stickers, as they can come off in the food.Â
- Please keep in mind that many Sack Suppers will be going to public schools and therefore cannot contain religious messages.Â
Brown Bag Decorating Day Pop Up Event
Join local artists, community leaders and volunteers as we transform Sack Supper bags into joyous works of art for West Michigan children! Local food vendors will be onsite to fuel your creativity! Light refreshments will also be provided.

Where: Kids’ Food Basket – Kent County (1300 Plymouth Ave. NE , Grand Rapids)
When: 12 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Cost: Free to attend! Food will need to be purchased by attendee.
Eastbrook Homes Bag Decorating Event
Decorate brown bags alongside local artist Carolyn Stich! Every 20-30 minutes, there will be a new demonstration for you to follow on your own bag. Children and families are welcome! Snacks and light refreshments will be provided to fuel your creativity.
